Finally a new sign on ET HWY
I took a wonderful couple from Australia out to Area 51. We had a great time. We visited all the stops, the white bus parked at Alamo, Groom Lake Road border signs, the "black mailbox", and the Little A Le Inn. I was so happy to see that the state finally replaced the missing ET HWY sign at the start of the HWY. It must have been replaced recently. Notice there are NO stickers yet!

"Higher, Farther, Faster"
"So, six decades after Chuck Yeager first went supersonic in the X-1, with the pace and volume of world of commerce growing dramatically, the opportunity for extremely long-range, high-speed aircraft has never been stronger. And yet, the old aviation mantra of "Higher, Farther, Faster" seems to have been suspended."
Here is the link to that article:

That quote from an article made me wonder. Actually, I wonder about the answer to this question quite often, "What the heck are they working on at Area 51 these days?" I figured at Groom Lake they would be working on the next generation Space Plane or the successor to the SuperSonic SR-71 that would be capable of Quiet SuperSonic Transport. Maybe they are working on an unmanned bomber project. This project would take the technology learned from the current UAV's and use that to take it to the next level and create a bomber or fighter that is unmanned. The Space Plane sounds the most interesting, but I am leaning towards the unmanned technology. From everything I have read, most of the Space Plane or Quiet SuperSonic Transport projects have been canceled or scaled back. A few articles have pointed to NASA completing a Space Plane/QSST project around 2020. Maybe some of the technology from the past 15 years or so at Groom Lake helped with what NASA is doing. We have all seen pictures of the Valkyrie, so I know they have been working on more than UAV's in the 1990's. Something impressive should be going in that huge new hanger at Groom Lake. Does anybody have any ideas what projects are being worked on and what is going in that hanger???
Here is a link to an article about Space Plane project being "Shelved" at Area 51

Quite a stir for some, but not for all!
It was interesting to watch the hoax photo cause some interest at various website discussion forums. Not everybody got involved and commented. I felt as if many knew that it was a picture of a rock being thrown from Tikaboo Peak, and therefore never entered the discussion. Some individuals dismissed it right away. Some individuals couldn't make up there mind and were bothered by others who were not at least willing to discuss it being legit. A few had some interesting theories. I on the other hand was very interested in how people were reacting to "it". Honestly, I couldn't really tell what the heck it was. It didn't look real, but it looked to weird to be a rock thrown from the mountain. Glenn Campbell himself is an interesting part of the Area 51 puzzle. His piece doesn't quite fit into any of the Area 51 puzzle perfectly. I can understand why he did. Why not? The reaction and the attention would surely follow a stunt like this. I don't believe he did it for the attention completely. That obviously played a part. I think Glenn enjoys the interaction between the different people involved in researching, studying, and or reading about Area 51. I am very much interested in what goes on around Area 51 as much as what is being worked on inside. I am very open about my interest and sometimes I hear from it on various discussion forums. No I don't believe there are or were ever Aliens at Area 51, but the Alien myths surrounding Area 51 are just as important as any Top Secret plane developed there. That is why I get so upset at the "hardcore" Black Project Researcher who completely dismiss any alien folklore, Bob Lazar discussion, or anything related to what 99% of the people believe about Area 51. It is difficult to find a mix between the two sides. ATS is way to conspiracy crazy and I have my concerns about some of the individuals who post at Dreamlandresort.com. They can be quite rude at times defending their ideals. A few are very arrogant. Dreamlandresort is definitely the best out there. I know the owner keeps it the way he wants and wont let it get like ATS. That is a good thing. I am glad Glenn is back. I truly enjoy his writing and the interest he has in Area 51. The post about the UFO crew he led up Tikaboo was priceless. The writing in that post was some of the best. I enjoyed every word. I only hope there is more like that from the Desert Rat. He still is the BEST!

Interesting New Photo From Glenn Campbell
(Turns out to be a hoax!)
Glenn Campbell (the Desert Rat) has done it again. He was able to take a photo of an unidentified craft (or something) over Area 51. The photo was taken around noon on October 6, 2008. The photo was shot from Tikaboo Peak. It is very difficult to determine what it is. I am not really sure what I am looking at. My first thought was a rock thrown by the man in the second photo, but why would Glenn make a hoax like that. The only thing I can say for sure is that it is causing quite a stir! Another interesting photo from Glenn Campbell. The photo is copied on my blog and a link is included with friendly permission from the "Desert Rat" himself. Check out his blog for more photos and information.

"All Hail ! The King is Back"
Just like a Roman General returning from battle, Glenn Campbell is back! Glenn (the original Area 51 researcher) is back from his ten year battle with the real world. I for one am glad that the "Desert Rat is back on the scene. Nobody can sum things up with a keyboard quite like the Desert Rat. Glenn has started a Tour business. He certainly would be a "kick" to hang out in the desert for a few hours with. I think everybody can agree his early work with his website and Area 51 Research Center in Rachel, really got the ball rolling. There have been a few nice sites that were able to carry on, but none has his attention to detail. It has been funny watching the various discussion forums related to Area 51 at some of the larger websites get all worked up with his return. The insults and petty little comments from individuals who only pretend to dig around in the Southern Nevada Desert (because they live many states away) have been hilarious. Why are so many threatened by his return. Hummm... Maybe because he is the best at what he does. When you read his writings on Area 51 and the psychological affects it has on people and their lives, you will understand. Area 51 is so much more than just Top Secret planes and UFOs. Glenn Campbell has a way of explaining it all. On my blog list, I included a link to his blogs (Area 51 Interceptors). From there, you can get to his websites. Check them out! Glad to see the Desert Rat is back. Glad to see you survived the past ten years in the real world.

Remote Viewing and Steve Fossett
I don't know how anyone else feels, but this remote viewing never quite seems to hit the mark! I have heard over and over on Coast To Coast am the premier remote viewer Ed Dames describe his skills. He never quite hits the target. He hasn't found the body of Natalie Holloway (his team continues the search) and now he is off with the location of Steve Fossett. It seems to me that if it was legit, remote viewing a national case successfully would make a huge statement. He charges almost $700 for his workshops in Las Vegas. I guess it is working for him.
The following article is from CoastToCoastAm.com
" The discovery by a hiker of some of Steve Fossett's personal belongings near Mammoth Lakes was announced today. Pictured is a map with location "B" being the general area where Fossett's items were found, and the location of the plane wreckage "A" cited by Ed Dames during his July 10, 2008 C2C appearance. Based on the map legend, the locations are around 40-50 miles apart. Ed Dames appeared briefly at the start of the show, commenting that the objects found on the ground may not be relevant to the crash site."
